{"id":3665,"date":"2025-04-04T12:45:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-04T12:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iuf.li\/?p=3665"},"modified":"2025-04-08T13:20:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T13:20:02","slug":"if-family-wealth-preservation-award-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iuf.li\/en\/publications\/launch-of-if-family-wealth-preservation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"I&amp;F Family Wealth Preservation Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>Securing family businesses in the long term - but how? <br>With this question, students on the Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Company, Foundation and Trust Law at the University of Liechtenstein have the chance to win a total of CHF 9,000 in prize money as part of a case study.<\/strong><br><br><strong>This marks the launch of the sixth I&amp;F Family Wealth Preservation Award, a joint initiative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.li\/de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Liechtenstein<\/a> and our company.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>I&amp;F Family Wealth Preservation Award<\/strong> offers students of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.li\/de\/weiterbildung\/themen\/veranstaltung-und-weiterbildung-recht\/executive-master-of-laws-ll-m\/ll-m-in-gesellschafts-stiftungs-und-trustrecht-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Company, Foundation and Trust Law<\/a><\/strong> the unique opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the Liechtenstein fiduciary sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The I&amp;F Family Wealth Preservation Award is an essay competition in which a solution approach is to be developed for a case study, examining a variety of different aspects. This year's case study focuses on a family business that is managed by the third generation. This family business is to be structured and aligned in such a way that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>it is preserved for future generations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>can be continued by family members,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the family's decision-making authority is preserved,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the family business can be flexibly adapted over time to unforeseeable external developments and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the good family relationship remains intact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The case study demonstrates that <strong>not only legal aspects are decisive for successful wealth planning<\/strong>, but that also further considerations must be taken into account, such as family governance aspects. <strong>The I&amp;F Family Wealth Preservation Award stands for the importance of a knowledge transfer between science and practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award winners will be selected by a jury of experts in December 2025.
